Welcome to 6th Grade Social Studies!

In our classroom, we will explore the fascinating world of Ancient Civilizations, including Ancient Rome, Greece, China, and more. Through the study of these civilizations, students will examine how people lived, how societies were organized, and how the decisions of the past continue to shape our world today.

 

This is my first year as a classroom teacher. Prior to joining the district, I spent two years as a substitute teacher in Ramsey, where I worked with middle school students across a variety of subjects. I also completed both semesters of my student teaching at Bordentown Middle School, where I taught 7th Grade Social Studies and covered topics including Ancient Rome, world religions, and geography.

 

I attended The College of New Jersey and have my B.A. in History Secondary Education with a minor in Music Studies.

 

My goal is to create a classroom where curiosity drives learning and every student feels encouraged to ask questions, think critically, and make connections. Throughout the year, students will have opportunities to engage with history through discussions, projects, questions, and relevant connections to the world around them. I want my students to not only learn about history, but to understand how people, governments, and civilizations have shaped the world we live in today.

 

Beyond the classroom, I enjoy reading, going to the gym, video games, cooking, and spending time with my family.
