Studio Art with Mrs.Kim
☆Hello everyone☆
Welcome to Art with Mrs.Kim!
I am one of the Art Educators at Slocum Skewes and this is my first year teaching ٩(ˊᗜˋ )و
I earned my BFA in Graphic Design and MA in Art Education at Boston University. I also hold a K-12 Art Teaching Certificate and have experience teaching art to K-12 students through summer schools, private lessons, and student teaching. I will be teaching 3rd-8th grade Studio Art and I am very excited to work with everyone!!
In my class, with the combination of exploring different materials & learning different art techniques, the students will learn how to use art to:
- express themselves
- connect with others
- make positive influences to society
My goal is help students see how art is everywhere!
Although I love everything art related (including building furnitures from IKEA ˶>ヮ<˶), outside of class I also love many other things like baking, hiking, traveling, and hosting events.
That's enough about me and I look forward to a great school year!
