Welcome to 4th Grade!

Hello! My name is Mrs. Ozcan, and I am excited to be a part of the 4th grade team as an In-Class Support Teacher, working collaboratively with Mrs. Hurm to support all the students in our classroom.

I have worked with children in Ridgefield for more than a decade, first as a teacher assistant and then as a special education teacher. I hold teaching certifications in Preschool through Grade 3 and Special Education. I am also currently working toward my Master’s degree in Special Education at William Paterson University.

I am married and a proud mom of two daughters. I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, walking, doing crafts and traveling.

My Teaching Philosophy

I am committed to unlocking the unique potential and learning ability within every child. Mrs. Hurm and I work together to create an inclusive and supportive classroom where students feel valued, confident, and encouraged to reach their full potential.

Homework Policy:

Students will record their weekly homework assignments in their student planners every Monday (or the first day of the school week). They are expected to complete and turn in homework on the assigned due dates as noted in their planner
