Ms. Gynn-Ricafort
My name is Marissa Gynn-Ricafort, but the students call me Ms. Gynn. I am excited to be working with our eighth-grade as a special education in-class support teacher.
Throughout my 22 years in education, I have had the privilege of working in a variety of roles and settings, from paraprofessional to school administrator. Through it all, my love of teaching and helping students has remained my driving force.
At the heart of my teaching philosophy is the belief that every student can learn when their individual needs are met. "Fair does not mean that everyone gets the same thing; it means that everyone gets what they need to succeed."
My goal is to make learning enjoyable while helping my students develop the skills necessary to reach their full potential.
Outside of school, I am the proud mother of two exceptional children and the wife of a USMC veteran. I enjoy watching movies, traveling, and spending time with my family.
I look forward to getting to know my students and their families. Wishing everyone a healthy, happy, and successful school year!
