Hello! I’m Mrs. Virginia McNamara and I am so excited to be the Art educator in the Ridgefield School District. I’ve been teaching for 32 years, and I’m just as passionate about inspiring creativity in my students today as I was when I first started teaching.

I graduated with a B.F.A. in  Art Education from Marymount/Fordham University. I hold a certification in [Art Education  K-12. and a M. A . in Special Education from New Jersey City University.

I believe that art is a wonderful way for students to express themselves, explore their imagination, and develop new skills in a fun and welcoming environment.

In my classroom, I strive to create a space where every student feels encouraged to try new things and build confidence in their creative abilities. No idea is too big or too small, and every piece of artwork is special !

When I am not teaching Art - I enjoy spending time, sewing and creating quilted wall hangings,  gardening, playing fun games with the family, sharing tea with my sisters and especially time with my wonderful granddaughter.
