It is truly an honor and a privilege to serve as your principal. Every day, I am inspired by the energy, curiosity, and potential of our students, as well as the dedication of our teachers, staff, and families. Together, we create a school community where every student is valued, challenged, and encouraged to become the very best version of themselves.

Since joining the Ridgefield School District in 2008, I have had the opportunity to serve as a classroom teacher, vice principal, and now principal. Throughout those years, one thing has remained constant, our greatest strength is our people. The relationships we build with our students and families create the foundation for learning, growth, and success.

At Slocum, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, lead, and achieve. We hold high expectations because we know our students are capable of great things. We encourage them to ask questions, embrace challenges, show kindness, and never stop believing in themselves. While academic success is important, we are equally committed to helping our students develop character, integrity, resilience, and compassion. These are the qualities that will help them succeed not only in school, but throughout their lives.

Education is a partnership, and we are grateful for the trust our families place in us each day. By working together, we can inspire our students to dream bigger, work harder, and discover the confidence to achieve goals they never thought possible.
