Math Resource

My name is Tiffany Kerr,  Special Education Math Resource Teacher at Slocum Skewes Elementary School for grades 3-8. Welcome to another school year! I have taught Special Education in the Ridgefield Public Schools District since 2013. I love teaching the wonders of math on various levels! I earned my Bachelor's Degree from the University of California, Berkeley and completed the Rutgers University Graduate School of Education Endorsement Program for Teachers of Students with Disabilities.

For grades 3-5, we follow classroom curriculum in addition to a TouchMath system that enables all students to grasp foundational math concepts and use resources that diversify material for a better understanding. For grades 6-8, basic skills are reinforced to aide in understanding grade level material and modifications are given for success when needed. In Math Resource, your child will benefit from a small group setting and 1:1 classroom assistance with me. I love to have fun while learning and positive fun is the best way to learn and practice the use of numbers.

When I am not teaching math I love spending time with my family and friends, going for walks, cooking, and visiting museums and gardens. I also love a good spa day, the color pink, and french fries!
