Hi everyone!!  My name is Mr. Diaz and I have been teaching in the district of Ridgefield for over 20 years.  I began working at the High School for my first few years and was then transferred over to Slocum.  I have enjoyed my time as a special educator immensely both working with my students in the provision of our services as well as, working with parents in creating an open communication forum by which working together we can provide the very best to our students.  I earned my teaching degree from Jersey City University in 2001, holding a K-12 Teaching Certificate, which I have used during my career here in Ridgefield working with all grade levels.

 

Outside of the classroom, I truly enjoy my family, my wife and children.  I am also an avid athlete.  I have run marathons and I am now an avid cyclist, cycling an average of over 100 miles a week as well as having many century rides.
