Mr. Mueller Physical Education 2025-2026

Welcome!
My name is Lukas Mueller, and I am entering my 15th year of teaching in the Ridgefield School District. After so many years here, this community has truly become my second home, and I am proud to be a Royal. I currently teach grades 3, 5, 6, 7, and 8, and I take great joy in making a positive impact on my students by teaching them the skills and values needed for a lifetime of physical activity and wellness.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Movement and Sports Science from Springfield College in 2009 and recently completed my Master’s degree in Health and Education in 2024 from the American College of Education. I hold a New Jersey teaching certificate for grades Pre-K through 12.

My teaching philosophy is centered around creating a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive. I believe that learning the core skills for lifelong physical fitness is essential to building healthy habits and confidence. One of my favorite things about teaching at Slocum Skewes is watching my students grow year after year. I feel fortunate to work with nearly every grade in the school, witnessing their journey from eager 3rd graders to confident, capable 8th graders. Watching their growth—both as individuals and as learners—is one of the most rewarding parts of my job.
