I believe that language learning opens doors to new opportunities and helps students build connections across cultures. In my classroom, I strive to create a welcoming, engaging, and supportive environment where students feel confident to take risks, express themselves, and grow as learners.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy exploring new cultures, reading, and finding creative ways to bring real-world language experiences into my lessons. My goal is to inspire students to not only learn a language but to love the process of discovering new perspectives and ways of communicating.
I am looking forward to another exciting school year and to helping every student find success in their language learning journey!
Hello! My name is Laura Campo, and I am thrilled to be part of Slocum Skewes School family as a World Language teacher. I have been teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) and Spanish for over 13 years, and every year reminds me why I chose this profession — teaching is truly my passion.
