5th Grade Math/Science Teacher, Slocum Skewes School

 

Hi! My name is Mrs. Scheibner and I am a 5th grade teacher here at Slocum Skewes School.  This 2025-2026 school year is the start of my 12th year here and I am still just as passionate about teaching as I was when I began back in 2014!

 

I earned my degree from William Paterson University.  As a teacher I believe in teaching students to believe in themselves!  I do this by fostering a classroom that is safe and positive, which allows students to set challenging but achievable goals for themselves.

 

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching hockey and baseball (NJ Devils/NJ Yankees) and reading a good book on my front porch with a hot cup of tea.
