Hello! My name is Jeri O'Byrne. I am a special education teacher at Slocum Skewes School. I am entering my 39th year in the Ridgefield School District. I have worked with students in self-contained classes and the ICS setting. I am passionate about helping students reach their true potential. 

 

I earned my B.A. from William Paterson University and my M.A. from Montclair State University. I hold a Teacher of the Handicapped Certificate as well as a Teacher of Reading Certificate. My teaching philosophy centers on creating a supportive, learning environment where all students feel valued, confident, and proud of their success.

 

Outside the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family and baking treats for friends. I also love traveling and cheering on the New York Mets. Let's Go Mets!
