Personal Information
Welcome to the 2025-26 school year. My name is Mr. Jesse Gennarelli and I am the in-class support teacher for the 6th grade here at Slocum Skewes. I have been a special education teacher in Ridgefield for over 23 years.
In 1997, I received my Bachelor's degree in psychology from Binghamton University. Shortly afterward, I became certified as a special educator and earned my Master's degree from William Paterson University. In 2018, I completed my coursework for my supervisor certification.
It is my personal belief that every student has the ability to learn, grow, and become self-actualized in a nurturing, secure educational environment. Conversely, each student can also teach us and help to foster growth and self-actualization in ourselves as educators.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, watching sports, riding the peloton, and coin-collecting. My favorite pastime is being with my family.
