Charlotte Weeks
Welcome! My name is Charlotte Weeks and I am proud to be a 3rd grade teacher at Slocum Skewes School! I have been teaching for 25 years, and have had many varied experiences. I taught 4th grade, created and taught the Gifted and Talented program for many years, developed and taught the Response to Intervention program for a few years, and for the past five years I have been teaching 3rd grade. I've loved every part of my years in Ridgefield, and working in 3rd grade is no exception.
I have my Bachelor's degree from Rutgers University, with a major in Psychology and a minor in Theatre, which is very useful for working with young children! My Master's degree, which comes from Fordham University, is in Language and Literacy: Birth through 6th grade. I am also Orton Gillingham certified, with a focus on dyslexia. I believe in creating a safe and loving environment in the classroom where students can feel secure, happy, and ready to learn!
When I'm not in school I enjoy books, music, and theatre. I love spending time with my amazing daughter who just entered 2nd grade. I look forward to another wonderful school year!
