Health & Physical Education Teacher, Slocum Skewes

 

My name is Brian Guidi and I am proud to be a Health & Physical Education Teacher at Slocum Skewes School. I have been teaching for 2 years and am looking forward to my 3rd year being even better. I attended Slocum Skewes School when I was in elementary school, so it give me great pride to be able to teach in the district that I grew up in and help students grow and learn just the way my teachers inspired me to do.

 

I earned my B.A. from Montclair State University (GO RED HAWKS) and hold a certificate in K-12 Health & Physical Education. My teaching philosophy centers around focusing on developing the whole student, physically, mentally, and socially to foster a lifelong love of movement and activity.

 

Outside of the classroom I enjoy spending time with my family- being active with my children and wife. I enjoy going for hikes, spending time in nature and laying on the couch and watching a good show. I am an avid sports fan, and love the Yankees and Knicks.
